Atlas Missile Museum of Texas

Our Mission

The Atlas Missile Museum of Texas is located near Abilene, Texas, and was part of the 578th Strategic Missile Squadron based at Dyess Air Force Base. The museum is dedicated to the collection, preservation and restoration of documents, artifacts and equipment that once comprised the Atlas missile system. The Museum is specifically focused on the Atlas F series of missile systems and uses an actual Atlas F silo and Launch Control Center as its main exhibition facility for collections of archived and restored items.
