Site 8 – Winters
This site is the most distant from Dyess AFB and little is known about it. In 2000, the LCC - Launch Control Center - was visited. It was being used as an aviary. That’s correct. An aviary. We did not have access to the silo and there were no original outbuildings. And yes, at the time, the LCC resembled the bottom of a bird cage.
